The Redmond School District Bond Oversight Committee serves as an advisory body to the superintendent, ensuring transparency and accountability in the implementation of the District Bond Measure.

The Committee's primary role is to review and monitor the progress of bond-funded projects, ensuring that the commitments made to the community are upheld. The Committee has two key responsibilities:

• Verifying that the District is implementing the projects outlined in the Bond Measure.

• Confirming that bond funds are managed responsibly and effectively.

In fulfilling its oversight duties, the Committee will review project scopes, schedules, and budgets. If inflationary pressures or unforeseen costs impact project feasibility, the Committee may be asked to assess potential modifications.

The Committee shall be composed of no fewer than 6, and no more than 10 members, to be appointed by the superintendent. Members shall primarily be professionals with experience in construction, finance, auditing, public budgeting, banking and general business. 

Operating in an advisory capacity, the Committee provides periodic updates to the superintendent and submits at least one formal report annually to the Board of Directors on program progress. However, the Committee does not have decision-making authority, nor does it establish or implement policy on behalf of the Board.

The Committee shall be dissolved upon issuance of a final report by the Committee after all projects authorized by the Redmond School District Bond Measure have been completed.

The Committee shall meet no fewer than 6 times per year. Meetings will be held virtually, and at a time to be determined by the Committee Chair.
